RightStone is Hiring a Software Engineer Near Fort Collins, CO

WE ARE HIRING! We are seeking a Software Engineer in Fort Collins, CO 80528. Who will be responsible for the development of a "proof of concept" reporting solution that will ultimately (not initially) allow the company to see labor source and material source information 5-6 levels up from the completed internal product. Architecture is still WIP, this person will need to be capable enough to partner with the architecture team to feed technical specifications that ultimately allow the deliverable (an App/dashboard reporting solution) to leverage the chosen architecture and data sources to report the requested information to the appropriate level of granularity. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal software solutions
  • Works with more senior engineers in the design and deployment of software
  • Designs, codes, and debugs applications in various software languages
  • Contributes to technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around software engineering; executes strategic software engineering proof of concepts

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Developing technical knowledge of complex software systems, including enterprise, middleware, firmware, and embedded systems
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze input from multiple sources (customers, sales, engineering, marketing, competitor, and management)
  • Ability to understand and deal well with rapid development cycles and remain flexible in the face of uncertainty
  • Using software applications design tools and languages
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
  • Designing software applications running on multiple platform types
  • Software applications testing methodology, including the execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
  • Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options

  • Supports software engineering leadership
  • Works closely with architects and technology leads, directly engaging with internal and external software development teams
  • Resolves complex customer requests and complaints in a professional and prompt manner

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically 2-4 years of related experience
  • Complexity: Low to moderate
